We sat on the buying side of AI for years. Nexus is the layer we kept wishing for.
Diodorus was founded in Rio de Janeiro by Marcelo Prado and Thiago Valente. One ran finance and business for fast-growing companies, the other ran growth and revenue operations. Both watched AI arrive team by team, with no shared rules, no shared view of cost, and no record of what the agents actually did.
Two founders, two halves of the same problem.
Marcelo lived the finance side of AI adoption; Thiago lived the growth side. Diodorus is where the two meet.
Marcelo Prado
CEO & Co-founder
Marcelo comes from the finance and business side of high-growth companies. As CFO of Sanar and CFO and CBO of Descomplica, two Brazilian education companies, he owned the budget every new AI tool landed in, and the questions that followed it: who is spending, on which model, and with what result.
At Diodorus he leads the company and the direction of Nexus, and sits in on every conversation with a customer’s finance and leadership team.
Credentials
- CFO and CBO, Descomplica
- CFO, Sanar
- Leads company, product and finance at Diodorus
What drives him
Making the economics of AI legible: every model call with a price, an owner, and a result you can point to.
Thiago Valente
CRO & Co-founder
Thiago comes from growth. As Growth Lead at Malga he built the CRM, automation and data stack behind the go-to-market, and learned first-hand that a team’s speed is set by how well its tooling is governed, not by how many tools it has.
At Diodorus he owns revenue and the customer side of every deployment: from the first conversation to the data pipelines and automations that make an agent useful inside a real operation.
Credentials
- Growth Lead, Malga
- Growth, CRM and marketing automation
- Revenue data, attribution and automation pipelines
What drives him
Turning scattered data into something a team can act on, and automating everything that stands in the way.
What we believe about AI inside a company.
Four convictions that shaped Nexus, and that we hold to on every deployment.
Control is an accelerator
Governance done right is what lets the second, third and tenth team start on day one, instead of rebuilding the rules each time.
Every call has a price and an owner
AI cost should be visible per team before the invoice arrives, not reconstructed after it.
Trust scales through the audit trail
If you cannot say which agent used which data to reach a decision, you cannot put that agent in front of a customer.
No vendor owns the roadmap
Models change every quarter. A company should route each task to the best one, including open source it hosts itself, without a rebuild.
